Working with Children and Young People
Children and young people form an important population group with whom we work. From holiday excursions to provision of culturally appropriate and age-sensitive information on health and care services, we continue to engage with young people to ensure they grow into responsible, health and successful adults.

Young Peoples
Programme
Young people face many challenges in their day-to-day life, with the main ones being peer pressure, poverty, addiction to social media, substance misuse, and mental health struggles. During the year, we ran one-on-one sessions where young people received tailored advice and information that helped them address their challenges. Additionally, we held one group workshop where a NHS professional and a representative from Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) delivered presentations on neurodivergent conditions that affect young people, focusing on ADHD, autism and Asperger’s syndrome.
MMR Education
Black people in the UK are less likely to get vaccinated against Measles, Mumps and Rubella compared to other population groups. Our MMR awareness intervention aimed to get more children, young people and adults to access immunisation as a prevention measure. It also busted the myths and misconceptions about MMR that have often prevented people from getting the jab.
